Getting Published

Welcome to the Getting Published Guide

Before following the steps as set out by this guide please ensure that you have created a new company and have some units set up as well, if you're unsure please follow the Getting Started guide first.

Please note that this service is currently only available to individuals with a South African ID and Banking account, or South African registered companies.

What does it mean to be published?
4rent allows you to create your own personalized booking page. This page will be visible to all internet users, and be listed in a google search as well as on our app. The booking page will allow potential guests to see photos and information about your establishment, but the best part is that they will be able to see actual unit availability and make payment for a booking online. 4rent will facilitate the payment and transfer the funds into your banking account.

The booking page will also be listed in 4rent's own accommodation search engine, and you can link this page directly from your own website.

Now if you're thinking "what will this now cost" please don't stress, 4rent is the cheapest online booking site available. For more information please see our Pricing Plans.

This guide will take you through the process of getting your establishment published and accepting online booking payments. The following topics will be discussed:

1. Submitting required documentation and FICA
2. Capture your correct banking details
3. Getting Units ready to be published

Getting Units ready to be published

You have full control over the following aspects of a Unit:

1. Unit Details - This is all aspects of the Units such as max guests that it can house, features, beds, and other details. Including whether or not the unit should be published and made available for online bookings.
2. Unit Media - These are images of the unit that is to be shown to in the booking page.
3. Default Unit Rate - This is the rate amount that the Unit will be listed for in the public Booking Page.

Please ensure that all of the above for each Unit to be published is correctly captured. Especially take care to ensure that the Default Unit rate is captured correctly, as a mistake here will result in an online booking being processed for the incorrect amount.

To make changes to any of the above mentioned, go to Settings - Manage Units.
